A Sourcebook for Climate-Proof Urban Development

GIZ – Cities fit for Climate Change

The Sourcebook for Climate-Proof Urban Development addresses key issues at the interface of climate change and urban development.

Its content builds on the knowledge gained in the IKI-project Cities Fit for Climate Change. It has been elaborated over the project’s three-year course and includes a conceptual approach derived from the project results: the Climate-Proof Urban Development Approach (ClimPUDA).

Combined with examples from cities around the world, the Sourcebook and the proposed approach contribute to an international learning and exchange platform in climate-proof urban development.

The Cities Fit for Climate Change project successfully ended in May 2019.
