Our Members and team of experts work together through peer exchange, partnerships and capacity building to create systemic change for urban sustainability.
The NDC Partnership brings together more than 200 members, including more than 130 countries, developed and developing, and nearly 100 institutions to create and deliver on ambitious climate action that help achieve the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Governments identify their NDC implementation priorities and the type of support that is needed to translate them into actionable policies and programs.
Based on these requests, the membership offers a tailored package of expertise, technical assistance and funding. This collaborative response provides developing countries with efficient access to a wide range of resources to adapt to and mitigate climate change and foster more equitable and sustainable development.
Climate Group is an international non-profit dedicated to driving climate action by working with powerful networks of businesses and governments. Serving as the secretariat for the Under2 Coalition – the world’s largest network of subnational governments committed to reaching net zero emissions by 2050 or earlier – Climate Group currently represents 178 individual states, regions, provinces, and subnational governments along with several other national and subnational entities. In total the coalition includes more than 270 actors, totalling more than 50% of global GDP. Through this coalition we have 15 years of experience in leading transformative projects on climate mitigation, adaptation, and finance at the subnational level
GCoM is the largest global alliance for city climate leadership, built upon the commitment of over 12,500 cities and local governments. These cities hail from 6 continents and 144 countries. In total, they represent more than 1 billion people. With climate mitigation targets that are projected to reduce global emissions by 4.1 GtCO2e in 2050, equivalent to 80 percent of USA’s yearly GtCO2 emissions, GCoM cities are demonstrating that they are already taking action.
