C40’s Climate Action Planning Resource Center has published a vertical integration guide that explains the principles and practices of enabling climate action through vertical integration, It also includes a series of tools which help national and city governments evaluate barriers and opportunities for vertical integration, and support the planning and implementation of strategies to improve it. The tools support governemnts to (1) diagnose vertical barriers and enablers, (2) develope a vertical integration response strategy and (3) support protocol agreements that enhance vertical integration for accelerated climate action.
